And the Dogs say Happy Birthday

Ok, Yes now we know i have lost it. Once i got started on the birthday book for Grumps I decided that his boys, the dogs, needed to give him a card too. So check this out I amde a square around book. Lots of folding but then you open it up and you get your square with room for all sorts of things. I thought it was very appropriate to add the little paper bags with sayings and hanging tags. See what you think.

Grumps Birthday

So today is the day. Grumps clicks the number up on his birthday count. Since I seem to be hooked on making books, I decided that an explosion book would be ever so right. I even added an origami shirt on the last page. It reminds us of the shirts he wears that we make fun of.
I found the Old Guys Rule paper in town and on sale, only making it better. I did a bit of extra cutting and have layered something on most every page. What fun this was.
While searching for additional Old Guys paper I found they had a clothing line also. So the "old guy" got some new clothes to match the book.

Take a look we love it!!!

Blogs to visit

Please do not forget to go visit my friend's blogs. They do great work and have great ideas.

Explosion Box

I made an explosion box. It has no decorations as of now but I am so excited that I got it together I had to post it. Here is what it looks like.

Friend Book

My guardian angel is having a 50th birthday. I made her this book. I love it and hope she will too.

Thank you notes

Here are a couple of thank you notes I did for Cata to send to her friends that helped her sell her home in Katy. One was a make and take from the Scrapbooking Factory Crop and the other is a knock off of that make and take. I love them!

Family Picture Books

The last time my whole gang was together we took lots of pictures. With all out kids and grandkids. I made each family a book out of plastic dividers that came in my Art Bin storage boxes. They turned out great. Here are a few pictures to show what I did. It really is not anything special. Just put the pictures in, gave each tab a label, made a cover and bound them (love the Bind-It-All). There are little pockets behind some of the pictures so we can put tags with addresses and birthdays.
Here are a few more that give you a bit of a view of how the look

Mini Maze Book

This is way too much fun!! One 12x12 sheet of heavy patterned paper (single side is all you need). Two small pieces of cardstock, a little ribbon, colored cardstock and there you go. You have a book. You can find the instructions in thousands of places for one of these books. I made a practice book first so I could understand the folds and cuts. It all made perfect sense and I made a perfect book. Now I just have to figure out what to put in it.

Here it is from the front

Then you can see all the separate pages - they actually make little pockets.

And then I added tags in the pockets. Not sure what I am going to put on them yet but I just love it.

Thank Heaven for little girls

One of my neighbors had a beautiful baby girl a couple of weeks ago. I made this card and the paperbag book for her to add pictures and memories to. Hope she likes them.

Here is the card

Following are the book and its pages

There are baby sayings, blank areas for pictures and tags in the bag pages for additional memories.
